Blackbird's Amp Tubes t-shirt in Asphalt is inspired by the guitar amplifiers of the '60s and '70s.

The design is printed on a Bella + Canvas 3001 Unisex Short Sleeve Jersey T-Shirt. T-shirt is 100% combed and ring-spun cotton.

The ECC83s tubes helped rockers get their signature tone while they were playing really loud! In the late ’60s and early ’70s guitars were starting to crank it up, but they couldn’t count on a venue’s PA to amplify their guitars. They needed more volume. Marshall answered the call with the first 200-watt head. The amp affectionately known as the “the Pig” because of its huge body and stubby control panel, featured three ECC83s in the preamp and four KT88 power tubes. The trio of tubes featured on this shirt created all of the color and character that we associate with John Entwistle of the Who, Mick Ronson of David Bowie fame, and Deep Purple’s Ritchie Blackmore.
